Dimanche, 6 juin 2010. Un garçonnet de 7 ans lutte contre la mort à l’hôpital Dr Jeetoo. Il a été grièvement blessé dans un accident de la route hier soir. Il a été heurté par une Nissan Micra à la route des Pamplemousses. Le petit était à moto avec son oncle, José Lebon, 33 ans, quand l’accident s’est produit. Il a été transporté d’urgence à l’hôpital alors que son oncle s’en est sorti avec quelques blessures. Ce dernier a été testé positif à l’alcool après cet accident.
Le chauffeur de la voiture, Nabeel Mayakhan, un habitant de Plaine-Verte, âgé de 22 ans, a été pris à partie par la foule après cet accident. Blessé, il a été admis à l’hôpital Dr Jeetoo.
